This survey gives an overview of the industry rates as of 2020: 2020 Scoping Survey When working within Case CATalyst, I edit using track changes, hidden text, and scan stops.  Please communicate with me regarding how you want to share files and your preference regarding renaming your files after they have been proofed. I usually use Dropbox, Google Drive, and email. I do spot-check audio in CaseCAT when something is unclear; I do not proof to full audio. If this is something you need, I can help you find someone who can provide this service. When working in PDF, I will return only annotated pages with corrections and suggestions made in red pen and yellow highlighter. Fill out a preference form here. This article points out the differences between scoping, proofreading, and transcribing. If your file is not properly scoped, I’ll contact you to make sure I have the correct file. I no longer include Sundays in my turnaround time. Files received on Sundays will be considered received 8 a.m. Monday.  I reserve the right to charge more for messy transcripts; I will contact you as soon as possible if I feel this is necessary. Billing: For regular clients, I send invoices on the 1st and 15th of the month, and payment is due within 15 days. For new clients or one-off jobs, I will bill immediately and payment is due within 7 days; your first job must be paid for before I work on a second job. Late payments will incur a 10% late fee. I bill using Wave; you can pay me with credit card or your bank using Wave. I also accept Venmo, Paypal, or check. Please let me know if you will be mailing a check.
